• Part B – Practical examples
• Part C – Opportunities and challenges
Part A lays the foundations, defines and explains the term “big data”, touches upon examples, and names opportunities and challenges. Part B provides examples of how big data works in practice. The examples are visualized graphically and are each explained in information sheets. Part C goes more in-depth. Key opportunities and challenges are mentioned and substantiated. The text also covers the duties of companies, the government, and society and those of each and every individual. The class should venture a look to the future.
Parts A and B are suitable starting from grade 7, while the media from part C are suitable starting from grade 10. The media are geared to the strategy of the Kultusministerkonferenz (German Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs) on “Education in the digital world”.
