Bookmark lists

Bookmark lists allow you to group several media so that you can collectively download them or share them with others.

The bookmark list function is available only if you have registered and are logged in.

Creating and managing bookmark lists

You call up bookmark lists using the main navigation icon on the menu bar.

You can create as many bookmark lists as you wish by entering a name in the “New bookmark list” field and clicking “Create”. You can immediately add media to the new bookmark list.

If you have created multiple bookmark lists, you can filter media by your bookmark lists using the “Show” selection list.

You can use the search field to search specifically for media in all displayed bookmark lists.

Bookmarking media

Click “Media” on the menu bar to get to the media search. Here you can search for suitable media.

Click the basket symbol (“Bookmark”) for media that you wish to bookmark. As an indication that the medium is now bookmarked, the basket symbol is activated: (“Is bookmarked”).

You can repeat this process for additional media.

If you have already created a bookmark list, a dialog box will open. Select the bookmark list you want to add the medium to.

Note: Bookmark lists can include only media of the Media Portal.

Removing media from a bookmark list

To remove a medium from a bookmark list, click the basket symbol (“Remove”) of the respective medium.

To remove all media from a bookmark list, click the wastebasket symbol (“Clear list”) on the header of the bookmark list.

Deleting bookmark lists

To remove a bookmark list, click the symbol (“Delete list”) on the header of the bookmark list. If you just want to clear the list, click the wastebasket symbol (“Clear list”).

Note: The “Basic” list cannot be deleted.

Renaming bookmark lists

Click the pencil symbol (“Rename”) on the header of the bookmark list at any time to rename any bookmark lists you have created.

Note: The “Basic” list cannot be renamed.

Downloading all media of a bookmark list

Click the download symbol (“Download”) at the right margin of the bookmark list to download all media of the bookmark list as a ZIP file.

Authorizing bookmark lists for others

You can approve bookmark lists for others using the symbol (“Share”), for example, to provide your students with materials for lesson preparation.

In the dialog box you have the option of assigning a name and a descriptive text, for example, instructions for students or colleagues.

You can limit the authorization period using the date field (for example, until the end of the school year).

You can share an authorized bookmark list via a link or as a QR code.

After authorizing a list, you can end the authorization at any time or modify the time limit, the name, and the user instructions by clicking the symbol (“Edit approval”).

Note: If you delete a bookmark list, the associated authorization is also no longer available. When the authorization link is clicked, an error message appears.

If an authorized bookmark list is cleared, an error message also appears.

If media are again added to the bookmark list, the authorization is available again.
