The skin is our body's largest sensory organ. The surface of the skin has a large number of sensory receptors with which we can perceive all sorts of stimuli.

Information and Ideas:
• The teacher/educator shoud collect a number of flat, hand-sized stones of different sizes. He should also find a way to warm the stones (sun, warm water, stove) and also cool them (refrigerator, cellar, cold water) and make sure that the stones are not too hot. Fill the plastic bags with a little water and knot them at the top.
• Please observe the general safety and hygiene measures and safety instructions in the respective teaching methods as well as the applicable safety guidelines for your school.
• All materials mentioned in the instructions will have to be purchased directly from commercial sources.
