Under the keywords of power generation, energy supply, energy conversion, generator, turbine, wind turbine, Bernoulli effect, current, and electrical parameters, the topics of hydropower and wind power are a permanent part of today’s school mandatory curriculum. The focus of the media package for these topics is on physics, with some links to geography. The package answers the following questions: Why are there different kinds of hydroelectric plants? How do water turbines work? Are there innovative hydroelectric plant types? How do wind turbines work? What limits their efficiency? How does wind electricity fit into the power grid? What are the physical similarities and differences between wind and water turbines? The media files (graphics, charts, photos, animations, information sheets, link lists, and guidelines) will support practical, real-world-oriented teaching!
