The parts of the eye and their protective functions are presented.
• Eye sockets protect the eyes from impacts
• Eyelashes and eyebrows protect the eyes from dust and liquids
• Tear fluid has an antibacterial effect
• Pupillary light reflex and blink reflex protect the eyes from brightness
