Beschreibung:
The principle of sound production and propagation as sound wave in the air can be recognized clearly with the example of the diaphragm of a loudspeaker. By the way, only the lowest–pitched tones are visible. With medium and high-pitched tones the movements of the diaphragm are so fast that they are invisible.
Information and ideas:
Suitable for demonstration purposes but also good for self-study on the part of the students.
Idea: show the film without sound to begin with. The students should then guess what sort of noise/sound it might be.
Relevant for teaching:
Acoustic phenomena
Sound/acoustics: parameters
Communication and understanding
Vibrations and waves
