Berlin is located in the moderate latitudes of Europe; Cayenne is close to the equator in the tropical rainforest of French Guiana.
The charts for Cayenne show the typical climatic features of tropical rainforests:
• It rains a lot, at least 1,500 millimeters per year.
• It is warm throughout the entire year, with constant temperatures of 23°C to 27°C; there are no seasons.

Information and ideas:
The students could compare the annual temperature fluctuations in tropical rainforests with the daily temperature fluctuations. They will realize that the daily temperature fluctuations far exceed the annual fluctuations.
