The uncertainty and refusal to get vaccinated can be attributed in part to the rapid approval of the vaccines and doubts about their effectiveness and safety.

This information sheet contains general information on the underlying reasons why some people refuse to get vaccinated and on vaccine development and approval (especially COVID-19 vaccines).
