The basics of acids and bases are taught, pH value is defined, and measurement methods to determine the pH value are outlined. Building upon this information, the pH value situation in the human body is described. Two specific examples are looked at in more detail in this context: The pH value of skin and the significance of the pH value of food for healthy nutrition.

Brief overview information is provided here. The theoretical part requires further study in class; topics related to everyday issues can be explained in more detail through reports given by the students.
