My notes for this page:

Are you especially interested in trying out creative programming with your students? As part of Africa Code Week, various “learning tidbits” (https://africacodeweek.org/about/about1/) have been developed to provide access to precisely this topic.

For instance, they cover the following topics:

  • Computational Thinking in itself
  • Programming without computers
  • Programming with Scratch

Scratch is a widely known programming environment in which various creative applications, such as games, stories, and animations, can be generated using a block-based programming language (https://scratch.mit.edu/).

In addition, the international Hour of Code (https://hourofcode.com/us/en) takes place every year in December during Computer Science Education Week.
