By definition, a renewable energy source is either an energy source that grows back again – biomass – or an energy source that is inexhaustible in human dimensions (like the sun or geothermal energy). Because wind power and hydropower are determined by the influence of the sun, they are also counted among the inexhaustible energy sources.
