In our bodies, the heart is located in the left part of the chest, and primarily functions as a “blood pump”. The heart pumps the blood to the cells in the body and supplies all the tissues with nutrients and oxygen.

Information and Ideas:
• A place will be needed where the children can run around or at least jump or run in place.
• The teacher/educator should inflater the balloons once so that they are stretched, to then fill the empty balloons with water and tie them off. The experiment is ideal for per-forming outdoors (water splashes!). Additionally, one of the experiment containers should be filled with water.
• Please observe the general safety and hygiene measures and safety instructions in the respective teaching methods as well as the applicable safety guidelines for your school.
• All materials mentioned in the instructions will have to be purchased directly from commercial sources.
