Description:
A funnel collects and amplifies sound in the hearing process. This can be easily tested with a homemade paper ear trumpet.

Information and ideas:
PLEASE NOTE: Never shout into someone’s ear through the ear trumpet; this can injure the inner ear.
The students can find out which animals have large funnel-shaped ears in order to hear better.
