Long-distance water supply systems or wells supply arid regions with drinking water.
Seawater desalination or reforestation are measures that can be taken on a global scale for supplying drinking water.
Information and ideas:
The overview shows that different measures can be taken depending on the supply needs to be met.
The “Measures and technologies to address water shortages” information sheet provides detailed explanations of the processes that are abbreviated in the information module.
