Beschreibung:
The students will learn that dyes, flavourings, fragrances and bacteria cannot be eliminated from drinking water by simple filtering techniques. This can be done only with certain materials which have a very large surface area where they can bind (adsorb) the unwanted substances. Water is absorbed by kitchen paper; dust is adsorbed on a plastic surface.
