Communication in humans and animals – a comparison
Englisch, Deutsch
...
The fact that humans communicate verbally as well as non-verbally is something that students learn in particular in English lessons in grade 6–9. The topics of communication and language can, however, also play a role in teaching other subjects, for example ethics or foreign language teaching.
Apart from human communication, it would appear an interesting topic for students to know what fascinating communication phenomena the animal world has to offer. They will learn among other things that the hearing range varies from one species of living beings to another. Bats, for example, can hear very much better than we humans.
The media files (information sheets, graphics, photos, interactive graphics, sample audio clips, teaching ideas, an information source and a guideline for teachers) will support real-world-oriented teaching of this topic.
