Beschreibung:
Based on the specified values for a high-speed train, the students are instructed to enter estimated values for other means of transportation in a table. They will then research the actual values, enter them in the table, and compare them with the estimated values. How well did they estimate the required energy? What is the ecological balance of the individual means of transportation and what factors should be taken into account? Does it make sense for every commuter to drive a car to work alone?
Information and ideas:
Each student should independently think about the estimated values. For the research, the students can work in pairs (at school) or individually (at home). The table can be extended to include research on other means of transport, such as a bicycle, motor scooter, or motorcycle.
