Beschreibung:
Algorithms are inherently neither good nor bad for society. They are procedures embedded in software that are intended to help perform or automate certain processes. Accordingly, these algorithmic systems are tools that we as a society can design and use in various ways. Depending on how we perceive and make use of this design scope, the impacts can be positive or negative. Therefore, the design and use of algorithmic systems offer both opportunities and challenges. The opportunities are closely linked with the challenges. Several challenges may also intersect.
